Moss happened to be in the right place at the right time. His time in Minnesota will be looked at as his best years. Since his problem is with his ego, he will never change.
Any football player who decides to quit whenever he doesn't feel like playing will never be great. I think many WR are realizing they are a dime a dozen. Of all the skilled positions on the field, WR are the easiest to replace. So many new prospects are coming up, it is hard to justify keeping a head case like Moss.

Green Bay is probably the best fit for him. They're desperate enough to need him to get back into NFC North contention, because three seasons ago, when both Driver and Walker were healthy, Favre had a tremendous season and both went to the pro-bowl. Favre was robbed by Michael Vick though! (lol).
Ferguson is no Randy Moss and any Green Bay fan who thinks so is kidding himself. Moss wanted out of Minnesota and the owners obliged by sending him to Oakland, who promised to build a team around him. They didn't see that promise through. I think as long as Moss knows what he's getting into, things will be ok. If he knows that Green Bay is Favre's town, and all he has to do is go catch balls and make money, then it'll all work out.

Very doubtful ... Moss' biggest mistake was going to Oakland.
That's why Oakland is called the "black hole." How much talent has been wasted in that sham of an organization ....
Marcus Allen, Larry Brown, Desmond Howard, Lamont Jordan, Eric Dickerson, Charles Woodson, Jim Plunkett, Todd Marinovich, Marc Wilson, Jerry Porter, Aaron Brooks, Aundrey Bruce, Pat Swilling, Sebastian Janikowski, Darrell Russell, Rickey Dudley, Patrick Bates ...
A Raiders contract is like a career death sentence.
As for Moss ... couldn't have happened to a nicer guy ... hahah

i wouldn't say a dominant receiver, but once he gets back on a team with talent he will change. he has said to the press and coaches that he will only try if there are other talented people on his team. now on the other hand with some moves by the Raiders like get Rhodes that might help. if they get some more good players though trades/draft he will probably start to pull his head out of his a**. to the green bay part, i think it's yes and no answer there. i think that GB would loose some fan support, but moss would play more. also he wouldn't half a** everything better yet anything.

Was Randy Moss ever great? Let's recap....Minnesota, only seemed to catch the deep ball, rarely crossed the middle, didn't block on running plays (even on his side), had a history of disappearing in playoff games, complained about the offense but never did anything to make it better. Move to Oakland; only seemed to rarely catch the deep ball, timidly crossed the middle, didn't block at all, had a history of disappearing in 2nd half of games, complained about the offense but never did anything to make it better. Two or three flash in the pan years do not make one great or dominant. Jerry Rice and Tim Brown were far more dominating than Randy Moss.

I think Randy Moss can be a great receiver again with the right chemistry and the right attitude and be a better team player . Yes he could help Brett Favre especially in the red zone where he does need more targets other than Donald Driver. A good TE will help here too.

Randy Moss is a great receiver when he wants to be. I believe that if he went to a team like the Packers he would be good he would probably have no choice. This whole trade going on w/ him and the Packers is drawn out so much, if he gets there and acts like a baby, Favre would tell him to sit his a$$ down because i am not throwing the ball to you. that's what Moss needs and attitude adjustment

Randy Moss is genuine sturdy, yet once you get rid of Brady, then how does Moss capture a ball? in case you get rid of Moss then Brady nevertheless has a super sport on condition that he can throw to Welker or Stallworth.

Great, no. Top five, maybe. You can say though, he has a chance at top 10 ONLY if he gets traded. He used to be a high flying, fast-paced reciever, but now, his flight is grounded in Oakland. I think The Packers would be great for him, because he will have an expirienced quarterback to hit him.

Randy Moss was never great and will never be great. He always trips over his own ego (just like Terrell Owens).
No team is a good fit for Randy unless he clones himself 10 times.
