Iran gets the bomb. What do they do next?

No, this isn't one of those loaded questions like, well about 85% of the ones with "Bush" or "Neo-con" in the title.

I'd just like to see some opinions.

I think that they would just "sit on it" until time came where they felt it would be necessary to use it - like the United States is doing now.

If they developed a bomb they would let America know they had it, otherwise it wouldn't be much of a deterrent. They would make sure that, unlike Iraq, who didn't have one, they wouldn't be invaded for what is left of their oil. Now the US is putting together a law that would allow American companies to exploit the Iraqi oil industry and leave very little of the revenue from it for the Iraqi people. Since the invasion, Iraq has sold $125 billion dollars worth of oil. Where has all that money gone?

The Iranians have a perfectly legitimate reason for nuclear technology, they, like the rest of the world, need power generation, so all the scaremongering about them building bombs smells like the WM D's that were never found. And the British can hardly comment, they are going to replace Trident, in spite of their commitment to the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.

But what worries me is that the USS Regan, a powerful warship, is being sent to the region right now. Iraq all over again?

Use it to make money.
North Korea's economy is based on the assumption that it is a nuclear power. It has a very little resource for economic drive.
India and Pakistan have both benefited financially from it.
Its a no brainer.
It drives economic growth.
The US economy grew dramatically because it became a nuclear power.
If you removed military expenditure from the world the worlds economy would collapse.
