That is a common problem during pregnancy.
99% of the time the gestational diabetes clears after delivery. The baby should have no adverse effects.
Your ob/gyn will keep an eye on it but I'm guessing that he/she isn't too concerned. Try to avoid sweets for the rest of your pregnancy.
Take care and good luck with the new baby.

I was diagnosed with GD when I was pregnant with my son. It is a shock, but, trust me, everything should be alright once your child is born. The doctors all told me that he was going to be a really big baby, etc., but when he was born he weighed the exact same amount as my daughter did when I didn't have GD. He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz. He was allowed to be with me all the time, but they did check his blood sugar levels pretty frequently for the first 24 hours. He's 13 now and just fine -- no health problems at all. The biggest problem is that you are now at higher risk of developing Type II diabetes sometime later on in your life.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Your baby will probably be bigger than most - mine was almost 10 pounds. And yes, she was born with a team of doctors standing by - I had an emergency caesarean. But she was fine, although some do go into the incubator. You need to check with your midwife and doctor. They will be looking out for you. By the way, my other pregnancies were fine, too.
