I called businesses for Dow Jones once upon a time and I loved it. It was reputable.

No they are not scum. Telemarketers may be very annoying and we may get upset because they call when they are not wanted, but with that said, most people take telemarketing jobs because they really need the money and for some it is the only job they can get in a hurry. Telemarketing jobs have a high turnover rate and for that reason will hire anyone who can show up that day. The people they work for are scum because they tell them to do that. How would you feel if you were out of work and you were desperate to pay your bills and there were no immediate jobs available and you really needed money? That may be the situation for many telemarketers.

I agree 100%! The people sticking up for these pieces of garbage are teles themselves. You can tell by how they answer. I usually play games with the morons who call me unwanted. I will ask for their home phone or cell phone so I can call them back with my decision at 3 am in the morning. Or I will put them on hold and never answer it again.

telemarketers are like " YOURSELF" people that are paid to perform their tasks in life, people working to make a living which is better than those setting on their backsides drawing checks that they don't deserve.
