Dance with my father. -Luther Vandross
One of my cousin's by marriage got married when this song first came out and had this song played for the daddy daughter dance but danced to it with her godfather cause her dad passed away the year before in a awful car accident.
The whole hall was crying.

"The Ballad of the Edmond Fitzgerald" has to come the closest of any song making me cry. If you have never heard it find it and give a listen...This is a song of a ship in the Great Lakes and is very true every word of it.

I'd give my vote to Martina McBride's "Concrete Angel"
or the Dixie Chick's "Travelin' Soldier".
Sooo sad!

Daddy by Beyonce. It's off her Dangerously In Love CD. She talks about how her dad means the world to her. It's so sweet.
