I am a 30 year old straight man. I quite like the idea of wearing opaque tights under my trousers, partly to keep warm but also because I think they feel good.There see to be quite a lot of tights marketed at men these days. Would women find this really weird or off-putting? Should I try them?

I think you should know that the only person I know who wears tights under their trousers is my great-gran, and she has chronic bowel disorder. But if it makes you feel right then it's a free country. Go wild and good on you for being different!

i wouldn't find it off-putting, personally. but i guess it depends on how the woman feels for you, doesn't it? if she likes you, she'll find it amusing, cute even. if her feelings for you are lukewarm, well...
my point is it's okay to wear tights. and a lot of men are doing it too, as proven by all these companies that sell tights for men. there's a market for it! so don't worry. :)

Just tell any women that you moonlight as a superhero.
I don't think there's anything wrong with tights per-se, but you would definitely have to have a good story to tell the ladies. You could always say your doctor encoruaged you to wear them to help with circulation.... of course at 30yo that's not very believable.

My Mums friends husband was a mounted police officer and he always wore tights under his uniform and as far as I know there's nothing kinky about him.
If women wear them for warmth and comfort why can't men? -makes sense.
I think I'd prefer cotton or silk thermals though coz nylon tights can make you really sweaty and stinky - I don't wear them coz they make me itchy lol!!

You wear what you like. Why should you even bother to worry what people will think anyway, especially when they are worn under your trousers, out of sight?

I would find them a turn off if my man started to wear them - i think they look horrible on women too... but as you say they're very warm !

Check out Damart thermal underwear or other motorcycle stuff if you want warmth. Imagine how your Mum would feel if you ended up in A&E with tights on.

i have only heard of male dancers wearing tights and only when dancing....personally i think you should try to keep this embarrassing little tidbit to yourself otherwise women might think you are either gay or have some kind of weird thing going on
