I guess what I'm asking is were there ever any women in the mob/mophia? and what mob or mophia were they in and what is their name?

There are none we know of. But on the other hand you should keep in mind, that the best mobsters are those you never know about. So the whole thing might be ruled by women we just don't know.

I am not aware that there ever has been a woman mafia mob boss. They were usually regulated to being wives and mistresses. This is not to say that women never engaged in violent criminal activity, Bonnie Parker and Ma Baker come to mind.

not in mob history, most mobsters were guys, but thats not to say that they(women) worked in the back ground alot of them did. but in every mob history book you don't see the women but for things to be used.

from what I have read, mostly they just kept thier husbands happy and kept their mouths shut and spent money

the mob tends to be a very macho organization

movies show the opposite sometimes
