I have two beautiful gowns that I need to sell but can't seem to shift them on ebay even though there are photos at every angle and a good description! They're both size 8, one burgundy, one lilac. Need to sell due to forthcoming wedding!

The price is low enough, if I drop anymore I may as well give them away which I would if they'd been worn but they cost a forune and still have tags!

You could try putting an advert in the local paper - my local does not charge anything for this. Alternatively, if you have a second hand outlet near you they usually take good clothing which is either new, nearly new or designer. I am surprised you have not sold on Ebay as I have sold a long evening dress on there with no problem. Mine was Monsoon and I do think people look for good names. Depends what yours are. Good luck!!

find a store in your local area that sells 2nd hand gowns. Yoou might not get as much as you could potentially get on ebay- but right now you've got nothing on ebay. I would never buy clothes on ebay as I would want to try them on first- so this would avoid this problem for potential purchasers

You could start ringing your local dress agency.
They take a cut if they sell your clothes for you.
It's worth a try.
