I think it is cute. I like both spellings. With a K if it looks better with your last name.

Well I like it! The Cassie I know is a really lovely girl as well. Yes people do call their dogs Cassie, but that doesnt mean its not a human name as well! I know dogs named Matt, Gemma, Ben, Poppy, Sam, lots named Meg and Toby, I also know people with those names!
I do think of it as a nick name (its the -ie that does it), so I'd give her a full name, but then only use Cassie. This gives her her the option of something more formal,
Cassie can be a short name for Cassandra, Cassiopeia, Cassia, and Casidy
Cassandra- a girl in Greek mythology who could tell the future
Cassiopeia- a the 'W' constellation, one of easiest to spot
Cassia- a tree wth an aromatic bark, lke cinnamon
Casidy- Curly in Gaelic
Alternatively, you could make up a Cas- name! If its not going to be used regularly, you dont have to worry about it being unusual, if it looks and sounds pretty, who cares? My frends mum made up their names and it hasnt done them any harm.
Off the top of my head, Cassela, Cassodil, Caspara, Caspela, Cassabell sound nice. Maybe you could mix it with a name with a meaning you like? I think Ella means fairy.

Yes, I really like the name Cassie. But if you are not one for short names, Cassie almost always gets shortened to Cas. Just something to think about!

Yes, I like it! It is an oldie but goodie and I have known many Cassie's! Try Grace or Leigh with it! Best wishes! If you like it use it! Not every baby can have the same name and the most common ones will be multiples in school, so this one is cute and there is a Cassie in my five year olds class and she is adorable!

It's sounds cute on a little girl, but it can be silly for a 40 or 50 year old. Cassandra makes a nice alternative because you can choose to by Cassie or Cassey when desired.
