Sorry to say there are no economical methods for gaining extra power out of that engine. The engine was built to be cheap and efficient. You could upgrade many pieces (at a high cost) but you could never free up more than 5-10% more power

If power is your goal, you’re better off just upgrading trucks.

you can change that motor in that truck for very little money ..you can put a big 6 cylinder motor without any problems under that hood..or you can put a "tornado" in the air intake to get a few more horse power..just do a search on the net for the product ..it's called a "tornado" and it's pretty cheap.You can also put a set of headers and new pipes but that would be a waste of money on a 4cyl motor..there is not much more you can do to that motor..those motors are allready putting out the max with factory settings..sorry
