I think the basic ideas are sound for the most part, but I think that some things sometimes tend to get overlooked amidst all the rhetoric.
For instance, while it's generally a good idea to be wary of strangers, -some- feminists (I'm thinking the extremists, not the majority) think all men are potential rapists, and that's not really the healthiest way to go about living. And while they might talk about how women make 60 or 70 cents on the dollar compared to men, the reason why is more complicated than they make it out to be. It does involve sexism, but it's not as cut and dry (It has a lot to do with the fact that women are usually the primary caregivers at home).
And while feminism has made great strides for women who are victims of rape or domestic abuse, the darker side to this is that the male victims of both tend to be overshadowed to the point where people don't believe they exist (Female on male forcible rape is -not- impossible). For instance, 10% of all sexual offenses are comitted by women, and that's likely a lowball estimate.
Anyway, I'm getting off track here. Feminism has done women and the world in general a lot of good, but the execution of the concept perfect? Not quite.

Feminism was a productive tool to help women earn the rights that we now take for granted. A lot of the feminism now is run by degrading men or demeaning the opinions of men. Men are not the root cause of all the evil in this world and the definition of feminism is not to degrade and demean men. I like my bra thank you and I also like my job where I am well paid and work in a mostly male dominated field.
Feminism yes, feminazi no

I'm sympathetic to the basic ideas. I think there has been more heat than light on some issues. An example would be the supposed increase in domestic violence on Super Bowl.
This has been proven false and the women who circulated this idea just make feminism look like an unserious/propagandistic teaching rather than an attempt to advance true understanding of issues.

Well, feminism is not only "burn the bra" brigade. For example I support many feminist ideas, but have nothing against wearing bra, because it's practical in some situations.

Feminism has gotten so ridiculous its hard to fathom why its still around. I've said this before and I'll say it again feminism has become a race for superiority and I want nothing to do with it. Feminists want a world without men and that is just so sad. I want to go back to the time when women and men lived in harmony. There is a delicate balance between men and women and its in danger of being crossed. I want men to be men and women to be women. Is that so much to ask? There can't be a world wothout men and there can't be world without women. We need each other. Each gender is different and you simply can't say that one is better than the other.

Know this: The only women who ever burned their bras back in the heyday of feminism were planted models. There was never any mass bra-burning. There was some disposal of girdles, but that's IT.
But anyway. Feminism is one of the greatest doctrines I know. What more is there to say?

the feminist movement is a bunch of women trying to make it so that they can fulfill their emotional and sexual desires at any cost. they want women to take mens' place and start opressing them.
