It really depends on switch. I doubt the job is the same (or the company would probably move the job to LI and pay you less). It depend on how much of a difference. I would probably only get 40% of my current salary if I left the city (beacuse what I do is not available on LI).

yes- as long as you can still pay the bills, and you have plans for retirement.- besides, if it does'nt work out, you still have the experience to go back to the higher paying job if you need to. Or maybe the new york city job will let you work at home- or maybe not.

Depends on how much less it pays. But if your quality of life actually improves, then yes, absolutely.

Yes, money isn't everything.

Besides, I'd much prefer to live outside the city and be able to spend more time with my family.

For me this would be a no-brainer. No amount of money can replace the quality time spent w/your kids (if that's the family you're talking about).

If your quality of life improves then hell yes. Family is the most important thing people can have... its priceless (for everything else theres mastercard). So yes... i would.

if i would be happier, i would do it.

but as a business student, i would love to have your existing job when i graduate ;)
