Track the history of "a woman's job" and how feminism helped to change it. One idea is to make a timeline out of dolls. You could dress the 50's doll in a gingham apron and the "present" woman in a business suit.

Read "Doll's House" by Ibsen and discuss how you think the events depicted in that play would evolve and resolve in your society (US? Canada? UK?, etc.) today as contrasted with how they are depicted in the play, being sure to discuss how political and legal developments would place Nora in a different situation now as opposed to when Ibsen wrote the play. Discuss how feminism as a force has contributed to the changes you have outlined and how, at the time the play was written, feminism may have spurred the writing of the play.

How about the issue of personal attractiveness being a
factor in deleating which side of the Feminist issue a
woman might choose, especially in the beginning of
it's inception, and the taboos in place then regarding
the traditional roles of women through the ages. Focus
on Gloria Steinham as the role model for all types of
women during this time or Jane Fonda who incorporated
inner beauty, politics and feminism. They both stepped
out of the box during this time and helped in a big way
to make the sexes as equal as they are today.

You can compare the role of women & music... for example you can compare the lyrics of women during earlier periods such as classical times vs the music of "hippies" & the early feminist movement & compare that to the role of women in contempory music.

You can also discuss the return of popularity of various traditionally "feminine" crafts such as quilting or knitting. You could talk about why there is a return to these types of creative tasks & what that may mean for society in general.

Good luck on your project.

Start proving FEMINISM itself; that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men.

BECAUSE: first, female can also do what men do.

Estelle Freedman says, "Feminism is a belief that women and men are inherently of equal worth. Because most societies privilege men as a group, social movements are necessary to achieve equality between women and men, with the understanding that gender always intersects with other social hierarchies."

Prove WHY we should have equality.

"That was the point of the project- to realize there IS nothing."

Nothing much anymore, at least, for industrialized Western countries.

You could talk about the thousands of injustices feminism and its rhetoric has done to the American (OR Canadian, Australian, and British) populace, though. (All Anglophones)
