A recent poll of Iraqi’s done by ABC, USA TODAY, BBC, and ARD shows 42% think that Iraq is in a civil war, 24% say it’s heading that way, most Iraqi’s think it’s worse than under Sadam, 80% say violence has touched their lives, 100% say they avoid Americans and have change their habits or avoid going out whenever possible because of the violence. There is much more data that shows things are getting worse every day. The poll takers were Iraqi’s interviewing Iraqi’s. There were 103 interviewers doing a random analysis, 458 sampling points, done between 2/25/07 – 3/5/07.
Boy, this administration has done a great job don’t you think? How many of you are going to discount these results because they don’t agree with what you WANT to hear? How many of you are going to bring up Rushbo and his inaccurate slant on another poll (look at the poll he quotes and you’ll see it’s not quiet what he portrays, what a surprise)?
When will you Bush war supporters finally open your eyes?

Kevin A - Yeah, it's really good over there. I have very good friends who are soldiers, they don't seem to have that impression.

I haven't read or heard of these polls, but for the sake of discussion, I'll concede the stated results for now.
Do you think that this poll would have even been possible under the regime of Sadaam Hussein?
By the very fact that people feel they have a voice and can express opinions is a HUGE benefit of this war. That people can be asked a question and be able to express a view that is in opposition to that of the government or the US is the very foundation of freedom.
And if you want my opinion, the fact of such a survey is what the islamic fascist fear, hate and fight against the most. They know that this war is working and will be successful if allowed to continue letting people think and express themselves freely. That is their biggest fear and the thing they will do first if they win, take away the right of the people to express themselves in any way not approved by their religious theocracy.
This administration has done many things I don't agree with...Many things. But this war is not one of those things.
I think that if this were the ONLY thing accomplished so far (and it isn't by a long shot) then YES this administration has done a great job.
It is amusing that the very existance of the poll you cite to damn Bush and his adminsitration, contains the seeds of the truth you are adamant to refuse to see.

You may not understand this but first polls can be skewed in many ways so I don't put much trust into them. In my opinion it is not really important what the polls say even if they are accurate because the defense of our country should not be based on public opinion in Iraq. Getting rid of terrorist threats is what the whole war is about and yes we owe it to the civilian population of Iraq to give the country the opportunity to have a working government of their choosing.
9/11 was the action that showed the necessity of taking action the writing was on the wall long before 9/11 and the US action should have been taken years ago. WMDs and terrorism in this case go hand in hand. I don't know what your experience is with the Islamic culture or if you believe that they are peaceful and have to be provoked to commit terrorist acts but I assure you that is not the case. A brief study of world history shows that the Islamic Culture has very little tolerance for people who are infidels. Did the US bring the attacks on itself? I don't think that we help ourselves by getting involved with the peace brokering in the Islamic/ Jewish squabble but I also don't think that by pulling out we will stop the Islamic extremist from it's desire to rid the world of infidels.
All that said not all Muslims really feel they need to kill us off and many just want to live their lifes out as do we. If they are given the freedom from extremest dictators they may just live their lives out and leave us alone. I don't know that an American style government is what they need or want but I do believe they must be free from the dictators like Saddam that encourages attacks against us.

You know, funny thing about those polls, they are never right. I've talked with service men that have come from Iraq and every single one of them say that the Iraqis love them. They greet them with open arms. They joke and kid around with them and they all thank them for getting rid of Saddam. They seem to hate the insurgents because most of the insurgents are not from Iraq and they are murdering their people.
If you don't mind, I'll listen to the soldiers before I'd believe any poll.

103 interviewers???? Fox and MSNGnews did one on 500 and 20% said they thought they were in a civil war and the rest thought things were going better! See how foolish it is to put any stocks in polls?! And yes, this Adm. is doing a great job, at least until the new Congress got in!

Intelligent people understand what is going on and
understand we must get Iraq straightened out and cleaned up.
The war on Iraq was a good idea and was executed fine...
No one could have predicted that the Iraqi's would divide
into factions and prefer to kill each other rather than join
together and live in a free nation..
