What is your model number? Have you tried Ebay and even to google for a recovery disc?

Check www.sony.com again under Customer Support and look at the FAQ's.
Then, call the store where you bought the laptop.

i have one of these Laptops and i have been solved my problem!!!
you can use VAIO Recovery console from this path (it will work without Recovery CD) ;
Start--Programs--VAIO Recovery.

the best thing I have found for this situation is fix-it utilities 7 it helped me get everything back even though my hard drive had crashed
