There are gender biases when new experimental procedures are done which uses the man's body, so that for example: when a heart operation is done, the instruments are too large for women, who have smaller bodies. So, women don't fair as well during this surgery. The medial profession is slowly becoming aware of these difference. They've improved anesthesiology, making all the machines the same. The machines were different from hospital to hospital, so the calibrations weren't the same.
