If the pill had numbers / letters or an identifying mark on it, you could call Poison Control and ask them to tell you what the pill it, based on those letters or numbers. But maybe check out the "Pill Book" you can look at it at a Pharmacy. It sounds like maybe mini thins (effedriene) to me...but that's just a guess.

Flush it. I'm not finding it in my drug handbook right off hand. It wont do any good to take it to the front desk there is no way of telling who's it may have been.

Why worry about it? Just throw it away.
Or... call the mamager of the hotel, throw a huge fit, get your money back and a different room. It's up to you...

It's probaby somebodies medication that they dropped and couldn't find.
Just flush it down the toilet. And don't worry about it anymore.

You Might want to tell someone, if it was in the room they might be able to trace it to the last person, and that person could be a drug dealer, or flush it.
