I googled 'Hayden Christensen as anakin skywalker sucks' as I was watching episode 2. I felt bad for Amidala.

I completely agree. I loved the new Star Wars as a kid but, literally have Ep. 2 playing in the background right now(which made me google "Hayden Christensen sucked as Anakin", because it was painful to watch. He s so awkward and pauses mid dialog constantly where it doesn t fit. I wonder if Ewan had trouble acting along side him. I would!

Hayden and Jar Jar...two products of George Lucas later years when he had lost his movie making abilities. These two horrible characters make Episodes 1-3 so bad that they should be banned from the Star Wars franchise. JJ Abrams inst doing a whole lot better, but at least his movie had the Star Wars feel to it. Again, horrible character pick with Finn. He is another guy who just is a horrible actor. Sorry but its true. It makes us appreciate Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Fisher all the more.

Oh Yeah!
The worst choice.
I heard he got the job because Lucas liked how he looked with Natalie Portman. He should have found someone who could act. Although I did like him in Shattered Glass and Life as a house. Maybe he should be only in small films for the rest of his life. He did ruin the Star Wars movies.
But episodes 3 - 6 still are the best and always will be. The first 3 should never have even been made.

I just re-watched the prequels, and have to say he single-handedly killed episode 2 and 3. I know the dialog was horrible, but his acting was beyond abysmal. The way he delivered the lines, his phony expressions, I can't remember a movie in which an actor completely ruined the experience of a film like he did for the 2 star wars films he was in. I hate to say this but I liked even the hated Jar Jar Binks over him - And that is saying a lot.

I inspiration he used to be an abysmal option. He looked like he used to be simply studying traces to me. Very little emotion or gravitas. I get him being whiney, that truthfully made experience as Anakin needed to have susceptible ethical fiber to promote out the Jedi Order fascinated with the pseudo promise of permanent existence for Padme. But it did not appear plausible in his portrayal of the man or woman. Lucas regularly used to be well at casting however this one as good as Natalie Portman weren't well offerings. For his type Lucas demands actors which are very introspective (like Daniel Day Lewis does greater than any one in historical past) and will envision what they ought to do with out strict course which Lucas does no longer do.

I never understood the casting. I thought Ewan McGregor was a good choice for Obi Won, but not sure why Haden Christensen was chosen opposite him. Terrible choice! I agree!

I agree, he was awful, totally unbelievable. Wooden and stilted. He completely ruined the Star Wars films he was in. Who ever cast him should be out of a job!

The Force flows weakly through your post.
Just watch the movies to see Yoda anyway.
