My boyfriend weighs at least 100 lbs. more than me and when he moves he shakes the whole bed waking me up. He also has sleep apnea (he is looking into this), and is overweight. He thinks we should be able to sleep together immediately, but I get no sleep. I think it takes much longer for people to learn to sleep together. We need a study bed, or some other option where the bed won't move if he rolls around a lot. Any suggestions?

My parents have been married 50 years and my dad's tossing, turning and snoring still interferes with her sleep. Get one of those mattresses that doesn't move when the other person moves. Maybe that will help.

This is something that will take time. It took my husband a couple years before he could sleep through my snoring. Look into a "firm" mattress for your bed that will have less give when he moves.
