I make them the best because mine are from scratch not a mix!
I lb breakfast sausage [ fresh from the market]
Fry loose and get the pan a little brown , you can add a little sage and garlic if you are feeling frisky
add 2 tablespoons of flour stir till the meat is coated Add 2 cups cold fresh milk simmer till it thickens !
Biscuits
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 table spoons shortening [ Crisco ,butter]
Milk 3/4 cup [cold]
add dry stuff mix , add shortening cut till looks like cornmeal, add milk stir , turn on to board and knead 10 times , pat till 1/2 inch thick, cut with a cutter or glass.place on greased cookie sheet cook 400 degrees for 15-20 min till brown.
pour gravy over biscuits
eat salads for the next week !

It is a "southern" treat available almost everywhere. Biscuits are a bread, and the gravy is usually a white-colored sausage gravy that is spooned over the top of the biscuits that are split open and placed on your plate.
I know this quiet little place that serves breakfast all day. The special is: eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage or bologna, biscuits w/ gravy, OJ and Coffee. And the portions are HUGE. You won't need to eat again for 3 days !!

It's a southern thing. Homemade biscuits and a gravy made with pieces of pork sausage in a white cream sauce. It is not for the weight watcher since it is very high in calories. But every bite is worth it.

well coming from my southern roots biscuits and gravy is a delicious breakfast which usually includes 2 fluffy buttermilk biscuits with delicious white gravy poured on top. Sometimes the gravy is "sausage gravy" and has bits on sausage in it too. but i dont really like the "sausage gravy" i prefer just the regular white gravy. but it is really good even though that discription might sound sort of gross. go try it!!

Two part answear...
My brother in law sings it as a country song...I'm not much on (biscuits and gravy)...it's supposed to be social graces... but I know it as the best southern breakfast ever...white gravy bits of sausage lots of pepper and served over warm country bisquits...crap now you made me hungry...gotta go to Bob Evans...
