It is one of the first things I look at when "sussing out" a women. I have noticed (and I am VERY observant) women with good taste in shoes SEEM to have a nicer personality ( not always though) Anyone else noticed that. Thank you.

I have impeccable taste in shoes and also co-ordinating handbag, gloves, scarf, etc. I suggest it portrays a person who takes care of themselves and not in a selfish manner as I also buy lovely shoes for my husband and child. However, it also means that I think nothing of spending £200 on a pair of shoes - scatter cash!

I think it's a matter of taste and practicality. I wear shoes that are comfy and 'unique'. I have X18s which are trainers with spikes. I like chunky boots like New Rocks and I also wear thigh high boots with buckles and flat chunky soles. I am a tom boy, I've never worn high heels as I am prone to twisting my ankles. I wear these shoes because they are comfy and I just realised whilst typing this, chunky makes me feel safe and protected. I am a very independent person who seems to look after others, my shoes must be my own way of protecting myself. Thank you for making me notice that! I am a very nice person by the way with plenty of friends but I do have a quite a dominating personality especially when things go wrong in my life.

Haha, I thought I was the only person who thought this way.... when I was still dating (married now) I used to make assumptions about men based on their shoes. I have talked to several people about this, and everyone seems to think that shoes communicate a lot about their wearer, such as income, comfort, cleanliness, what sort of hobbies they're into, etc. Granted, people should not be judged by any physical terms (because it's what's inside that counts) but when you are dating it's understandable, as well as interersting to see if you are right about your assumptions.

What do you consider "good" or 'bad" taste in shoes?
If you are saying that the women you find attractive have taste in shoes that dovetails your taste in shoes, then you are finding women whose taste in apparel mirrors your own.
Good for you and her.
I think it's nice if that's the way you find companionable people to date.
Good luck

That's not always true darling...

Meet the opposite...

Most of my shoes are fabulous! My personality... Not so much!

I love Jimmy Choo and Prada the best and the only pair of mules I own (which are the ugliest shoes in creation I find.) are Louis Vuitton so... It's a wash.

sometimes it's not there taste but rather their feet....

I'll explain. My feet are too wide for most shoes I like and they also distroy shoes waaaay too fast so I tend to not buy expensive to die for shoes.

Either way I do my best - it's not like you look at my shoes and say Uuuuh this women as absoloutly no taste!

...well maybe it is their taste then. haha.

It's one of the first things I look at too - on anyone.

Perhaps type of woman personality you like matches to the type of woman shoes you like.

It can show practicality and you can often tell alot by how clean / old their shoes look.
