I haven't had a period now for nearly 4 months - have been off the pill just over 6 monhts - and have been using ovulation strips now for most of that time (~3 months) but still haven't had a +ve yet... how long am I likely to have to wait?

You would be better to just watch your cervical mucus at this point, the random use of OPKs is a waist of money and time. You need to have some basis to check on and you have nothing. Charting is your best option, but at least watching cervical mucus would give you some idea. You can have periods and not ovulate and you can ovulate and not have a period. It can also take a bit to get onto a new and regular cycle after you discontinue BC pills.

You can still ovulate without a period after birth control.sometimes it takes a while for it to get out of your system completely.If you are not having a period you may or may not be ovulating.There's not way to know without your doctors help.They could give you med's to jump start your cycle and help you with ovulation.Or you could just wait it out and pray.
