Yes, it's very possible. You could actually say that South Africa did beat this fantastic record (in theory), when they made 353 against Netherlands last Friday. They only had 40 overs to do that in...if they'd had the full 50, I'm pretty sure their total would have been more than 413.

It will be broken even before we know it. If India had packed the Bermudians under 100 then that record would have been hard to break in a near future.

Well its sad to see the Indian's setting records, but when it comes to delivering the goods, our team fails as always. I have lost my sleep, after seeing the pathetic performance against srilanka.

Records are set to be broken my dear, be rest assured, given good pitch conditions, a weak opposition and a day with batsmen in form, it won't be long before this record is broken.

Consolation: It won't be broken in this World Cup. Maybe in the next World Cup, I heard "China" is preparing their team for WC-2010... I wonder if its true...(Psst... just kidding) ;)

Yes !!Records are meant to be broken.india is like a cycle stand.if one wicket falls then all of the wickets start falling.this score is against the worst cricket playing country "BERMUDA" teams like australia and south africa can break these records in minutes.this is very easy for them.

sri lanka had this record and srilanka has the highest ODI total ever its 443 against Netherlands. and have you seen that match between south Africa and Netherlands ? south Africa made 350 odd runs in 40 overs. if the rain didnt interrupt that game it would have been 500 for sure....

Yes, Possibly in next world cup in our sub-continent. Our flat pitches will help to break the above record.
