Oh - I know I'll get some hateration comments for saying this, but keep in mind, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Having said that, I'll say this, the artists you have selected are all good in their professions and what musical taste they prefer, but I am so "old school" sometimes that my feelings for one being a "giant" in the business requires much more than any of these people have offered - to date. Giants to me are ARETHA FRANKLIN, ROBERTA FLACK, DIANA ROSS, MELBA MOORE, ELLA, LADY DAY, SARAH, ESTHER, RANDY CRAWFORD, DENISE WILLIAMS, VALARIE SIMPSON, OLETA ADAMS CHAKA KHAN, LENA HORNE, and there are many others that I am missing, but to me, these are the females who have created and established a foundation that has been the highway for others; these women had more than "hit" records; they created a vision and a light that is very difficult for others to follow. They have longevity in the business and have proven themselves in their performances and entrpernurialship, their giving back to others along the way. Your list is great - but as a singer, I respect the older, established women. I know the ones on your list will probably last as well. But, that's just my opinion. If I had to pick one - it would be Avril. Her talent extends in many directions that I have not witnessed the other ladies.

Shakira is just darn hot and a member of Mensa.
Pink is very cool. She is famous on her own terms and sings strong songs for girls.
Christina can seriously belt it.
Lavigne is a bland little angst ridden white girl.
Britney is a messed up sex slave who has reached a breaking point.
Gwen... JoJo... Yawn....
You left out my favourites
Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton! Now those girls contribute so much to society that I think they deserve top mention.

I like a few of them, but I don't think I would want to see them as a giant. I don't think I would want anyone famous to become a giant because then that would be just plain scary.
