I think it would be difficult for him to dislike white people, since his mother is one.

i know that's problematical to have self assurance that the U. S. President may have time to write down a e book, particularly at the same time as pondering the moron who occupied the workplace from 2001 to 2009. in spite of the undeniable fact that, Obama isn't the first US President to write down books... JFK, Lincoln, Jefferson, Carter, Roosevelt, are basically some that come to options.

He has written two books - I have read one - there is nothing in his history or personality to back up something like that. I suspect you have a statement taken way out of context. Perhaps when he was young, he said he had to choose between being Black and white - which groups to hang with - and the white group in that school or that place he didn't like.

But he would not have gotten where he is with any statement like that - and if he said it a long time ago, he has certainly grown and changed since then. I confess, I am not terribly interested in something somebody said twenty years ago - what are they saying now is much more interesting to me.

I continue to like him.

No. That's the issue with Obama, he represents the "potential" but has no real track record. You don't know what he'll be like. You only know what he SAYS he'll be like. We are mostly an optimistic group, we Americans. We'll tend to believe what someone says they'll do, not look at what they've actually done.
Do some research. Read a book. Then decide and VOTE.

I have not yet read his book but I find that hard to believe since his mother was white. Furthermore, he was raised by his white grandmother whom he was apparently fond of. Don't you think you should read the books in question to verify the accuracy of that statement?

I'm sure if he said that it will come to the surface of the political sludge pool.
As for some of your answerers saying he couldn't hate white people because his mother is white -- do you have any idea how many people kill their parents every year?
Also, he could love her and hate other white people who are NOT stupid enough to marry black Muslims.
Maybe he hates his white mother because she was stupid enough to marry 2 black Muslims.
Enough already.

OK------I think I'm ready for the next stupid question.

Sock it to me, sock it to me, sock it to me. (Remember Laugh-in? THAT was a funny TV show.)

I don't know where you heard that, but it is not true. If he had said something like that, people would have jumped all over him about it. Give me a break. His mother is white.

I also heard he eats babys and beats bags of kittens with a stick....

More than likely it was something taken out of context by some idiot, if not I would be all over the news already.

Why don't you buy one of his books and read it then. If he did say it in his book, maybe you have to find out in what context. Was it when he was a child and struggling growing up? I mean, he wrote about his life.

He's got two books- "Dreams of My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."

Read one sentence about him anywhere and you will see that in order for what you cliam to be true, he has to hate HIS OWN FAMILY and half of himself.

So, no. Whoever told you that is playing you for a fool.
