Those are the optimum times of fertilization, but she could get pregnant anytime.
So don't rely on that as your birth control.

It's starting with the first day of her period...count 14 days...this is best time to get pregnant.
Sperm can live for a couple days inside a woman.
The egg is only able to be fertilized for about 24 hours, after ovulation.
Every women is different and ovulation can be off a few days, before and after the 14th day.

there is a way to TRY and prevent pregnancy by watching the calender, it is called rhythm. Many Catholics use rhythm to avoid pregnancy because they don't believe in birth control. I think the days in between that you couldn't have sex would vary a little from woman to woman, being on how most women have slightly different cycles. This method of birth control is not an absolute promise not to get pregnant and it should only be practiced by reasonable people (preferably married people) , and keep in mind that this doesn't prevent VD.

Just use a condom.

In theory the formula may work but sperm can live inside a female for awhile after sex and sometimes the body just doesn't like math. It may release the egg early or late, it's not always exact or easy to pin down.

If you don't want to have kids, cover all your bases. Use condoms and make sure she is on some form of birth control from her doctor, the pill, the shot, the patch, anything.

the only safe time and this is not 100% effective you can say you are safe no more than 4 days after your period, but some women may ovulate early and sperm can live inside for 72 hours (3 days) so the only safe way is to use protection.

women ovulate 14 days after there period starts. However fact is that you can still get pregnant ANY time you have sex no matter weather its on the 14th day or not.

No formula just 10-14 days after her last period started. Just use a condom and it wont matter.

There are days when your safe, there are days when you cant get pregnant, but we cant guarantee what these days are. And actually there are only 3 potential days a month you can get pregnant. They say you cant get pregnant while your ovulating, but not all of us are regular(get it on the same day every month), mine is very erratic.
Anytime you have UNprotected sex, you are UNprotected against pregnancy, always use protection unless you want babies.

She should use a basal thermameter, also, that's the time a woman ovalate's easy -er to get pregnant at that time.A woman can usually tell when she's ovalating you should deffinatly use protection if not wanting children, at that time.

Honestly, using said formula, is much like using a crystal ball. Use contraceptives, condoms, birth control pills, whatever, if you don't wish to conceive a child.
