My passenger side front wheel bangs like something has broken when i steer around corners or roundabouts. I have a vauxhall corsa. It does not happen all the time. It sounds like a steering axle? I have had a new steering column 1 year ago. Despite a clicking noise when i still turn sometimes. Anybody know what could be the problem...should i get rid?

I'd say that the CV joint is probably going bad, which it is probably a ball type joint. Also have your tie rod ends checked as the bushings may need replaced by now. A front end alignment is probably also in order.
Not overly expensive but can become a real problem if you don't get it looked at soon and fixed. Had the same thing happen on one of my old cars and ended up with a bent tie rod before it was all over....expenses will escalate the longer you wait.

CV 's or/ and ball joints worn out, or warped brake disc. Will need to be taken for (hopefully) a free inspection by a good repair shop to determine what the problem is, and to get an estimate of repairs.
(clicking noise while you turn the steering wheel while driving at very, very slow speeds often indicates the CV's are worn out and need replacing. The last time I had CV's replaced it cost $ 350.00 US Dollars. )

Sounds like it could be the outboard c.v. joint on the passenger's side has failed. Possible a broken cage within the joint (if you care).
Any decent local garage should be able diagnose this properly, and fit a replacement c.v. joint.

It is a repair worth doing, unless there are other problems with the car and you really want to get rid of it. Otherwise, replace the c.v. joint and continue using the car.

my car was doing something very similar and it was the track rod ends and bushes that had gone. it's not a big job to have fixed but you should have it done as soon as you can as apparently if your track rod end goes while you're driving you could loose your steering. not good!

CV joint, almost certainly. It'll cost you about £120 to have repaired, not a major job - half the cost is parts.
