Zante , so relaxed saw the turtles they actually swam right by us . And Greece won some football title that year and it was truly truly mad , fireworks people on top of cars firing shotguns electric .And the most important thing that made it special was with my partner [ he died last year ]

When I was a kid we went to Grenoble in the French Alps. My dad was attending a scientific conference. But we did loads of interesting things - it was blue skyed every day.
- modern art galllery
- science museums
- went up cable car and walked down past vintage car exhibits
- went to Chartreuse monastery and got given generous samples of Green and Orange liqueurs by amiable monks (I was 12 so got tipsy)
- Drove up the Alpe d'Huez pass where the Tour de France goes
In the same summer, we also had a couple of weeks up at Torridon - brown trout fishing, pony trekking, midges galore, and climbed some of the Best Scottish peaks including Liathac.

I don't like going on holidays. You spend too much money and you always come back more tired than you were. Best holiday would be a few days off work to stay in bed

A camping holiday in a deep forrest. Being able to hear the birds, see animals, and to breathe clean air with the sun and wind on my face by day, and to gaze at the stars at night.
A wonderful sense of peace and oneness with all that is.

Spent 10 days in Wales with a friend who knew the area and could take me places. I've always wanted to go there and we had beautiful weather, even tho it was October. We came and went as we pleased and it was a lot of fun.

Went to Guangzhou, China, where I was born but hadn't been back after more than half my life living abroad. It was much more than a holiday, more a trip and an experience of discovery.

MY HONEYMOON TO TURKEY 6 YEARS AGO. IT WAS THE BEST TIME I SPENT WITH MY HUSBAND. WE KNEW EACH OTHER BEFORE MARRIAGE, BUT WE REALLY SPENT GOOD TIME TOGETHER. NOW WE TAKE OUR SON AND IT GETS A BIT TOO MUCH WITH AL THE CLOTHES AND BLESS HIM HE GETS TIRED.
WE DIDNT JUST SIT N THE BEACH ALL DAY LIKE SOME HONEYMOONERS DO. WE RAVELLED ALL OVER TURKEY AND VISISTED ALL THE MONUMENTS AND HISTORIC PLACES, BEACHES, TURKISH FACTORY AND RUGS. WE HAD BREAKFAST OF THIS REALLY NICE TURKISH FARM/COTTAGE IT WAS SO NICE AND CLEAN FOR A FARM. BUFFET BREAKFAST WAS GORG!!
