Was Jesus' DNA 98.5% identical with that of a chimpanzee?

Sure, why not? We are made in God's image, after all, so presumably our DNA that builds us up and designs us is the same as Jesus's was (although his dad's genes were probably a good deal cooler than most). So that would mean that his DNA and our mortal DNA was/is similar enough that you could say he still shared 98.5 percent (maybe just 98 precent) of his DNA with a chimp.

It's that 1.5 percent that makes all the difference, no?

First of all does God contain DNA? If that were true then why did Jesus take on a human body? No DNA from God the father so basically Jesus had only 23 chromosomes from his mother. 23 = 50% so 50% of 98 is 49 %. Having only 23 chromosomes kind of makes the DaVinci Code a bit off.

In the first place there is no definitive proof that Jesus even existed and was not a composit made up by later writers.

If there was such a person, Christians would not want the DNA tested and have their son of god hypothesis disproved.

If you are asking if Jesus Christ is human, the answer is yes. But I checked out that link the one gal provided in your other question (you liked this question so much you asked it twice?? Different categories, I know I know) and she is right, the standard is no longer 98.5, Genetic similarity turns out to be less than 95 %.
