Below is the official reason - but in reality - you didn't sleep well cos you were missing ME:

GET UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BED - "The wrong side of the bed is the left side, according to a superstition that goes back to the time of the Romans. People have been saying other people 'got up on the wrong side of the bed,' 'awoke surly or grouchy,' for well over three centuries now, usually not knowing the real meaning of what they are saying, but the equally old expression 'got up left foot forward' tells the story. The supposedly sinister nature of the left is reflected in many English superstitions and expressions, such as the belief that it is unlucky to put your left shoe first, or to walk into a house left foot first. The Romans, especially Augustus Caesar, were very careful that they got up on the right side of the bed, but there is no evidence that they were less grouchy than anyone else." From "Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins" by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997).

Hard for me to do because the "wrong side" is up against the wall...would give me a bad headache at the very least. Sometimes you just have to go with what you have...enjoy being grumpy (everyone deserves one day like this once in a while...gives you perspective for the good days!) You'll get another chance tomorrow. My grandson heard this phrase and started testing which side of the bed was best to get out of...every morning for 2 weeks! (He was 6). He decided it was best to crawl off the end.....who knows!

I woke up on the right side but the whole office did not. I never got so many dirty looks, nasty comments or just felt such an overall hostility in years. It is unbelievable. I am ready to walk out and not come back!

No, but my coworker's car was hit by a school bus this morning (she's not hurt) and the driver cursed at her and then left the scene. Then her computer crashed when she got here. She deserves the award I think!

It will get better, have some coffee and just mellow into the day.
OK, so coffee is my answer to everything to day. Hey, I'm running out, got to make more.
