I know it was not released in the US for a couple of years due to animal cruelty. The people in the movie sound Irish, but I'm not sure that's where it was made.

Boondock Saints. They were right. I love cats, but that part is freaking funny!

Although Snorkweezl, I have to correct you on something. It didn't come out in theaters because they finished the movie right when Columbine (sp?) happened. Because of how violent the movie is, none of the studios wanted to touch it. So, it ended up going to the shelf for a while, got released on DVD and became a huge cult classic.

Yep, Boondock Saints. They don't really kill a cat. The film was made and set in Boston Mass., and they obeyed American anti-cruelty laws. The reason it wasn't released right away was because it was an indie film and it took a while to gain enough popularity for wide-release.

yeah in Boondock Saints, he slams his fists on the table and the gun laying on the table accidentally goes off and blows the cat all over the wall.
