Many people label the PRC with 'Communism' and think that it is nothing but a devil and imagine that the non-democratic regime would rob everything from them .It is not the fact.
Under the principle of 'one China, two system', the PRC gov won't interfere with the self-govern of taiwan, which means, as a citizen in taiwan, there are no changes with your life.
Ask persons who live in HK and in Macao, are they living in a hell?

I ask this question 'cause there are too many people in taiwan who think the CCP will ruin their life in the case of unification. I live in the PRC and know it's not the fact.
On the contrary, the PRC probably help boom taiwan's economy on the price of the mailand's benefits as they did against Hongkong and Macow.
If any guy argue that Communism is evil, and Capitalism is free/democracy, pls shut up and turn to suckers.

You have totally discounted the role of the ethnic Taiwanese in your summary. They were their own people before the Chiang Kai-shek and his army came to Taiwan. Forcing them to join China is something they are ardently opposed to.

The two system scheme is meant to be a transition not a permanent solution. It will not work in Taiwan. The Taiwanese are much more hostile towards any plans to be consumed by China than Hong Kong or Macao were. In the past those countries were controlled by European powers. Taiwan is its own nation.

All to often the role of the Taiwanese is totally discounted in this debate. It is their country and they have the right to decide their own future.

The PRC is COMMUNIST and they are an evil regime bent on East Asian Hegemony. Taiwan should declare independence now and force China's hand before they get powerful enough to actually deter the US from protecting FREE people on Taiwan from tyrannical over-lordship in Beijing.

Well, I am not in favor of any unification of Taiwan with China.

If the PRC wants to unify with some other country, perhaps they could have discussions with Nepal, India, Burma, or Vietnam.

Speaking for my other Taiwanese friends, I would say to the PRC: "Please leave us alone." Thank you very much.
