Is it like avon where once you get the orders you then place the order or is it something along the lines of buying the products and selling them.

Hi
With Mary Kay you are an independent contractor so you choose how to run your business. Inventory is optional. My director explained it like this you can be an order taker take orders and place them a convenience store where you carry a small inventory of items or a department store were all the items are readily available. I started small and as I realized this is what i wanted to do I gradually built my inventory.
I think Avon is different. Mary Kay focuses on try before you buy and providing a service where I believe Avon is a little more about handing out books and waiting to get orders sorry Avon people if I'm wrong. My director sold it for years. The MK starter kit is 100 and you get over 300 in full size products samples and business supplies. Let me know if you have additional question I would be happy to answer what I can about Mary Kay

You become a consultant by placing an signing an agreement with the company--usually through another beauty consultant or director. The initial start up cost is $100 and you will receive your starter kit which has enough samples to facial about 25-30 women along with over $300 in full size product to demo with, sell or keep as you see fit. You can then either do facials and take orders afterwards or start with an inventory--whichever you are more comfortable with (no matter what anyone says).

I'm not familiar with Mary Kay or how their business works. However, I am a District Manager with Arbonne International and I can share what I know about them. I absolutely love the products and business opportunity. I was able to start my business for only $29. As a consultant, you can either make 35% off of retail sales (at the time of the sale) or a percentage off of wholesale orders (percentage increases with different levels of management). The more wholesale buyers and business builders you sponsor, the bigger your residual check will be.

Arbonne has over 350 consumable, proprietary products made with exceptionally high EUROPEAN STANDARDS of quality. Our products are in 6 key consumer markets including skin care, body care, weight loss, nutrition, aromatherapy, and cosmetics. People are really starting to take better care of themselves. They want to live longer, healthier lives so the health and wellness industry is a great place to be.

All of their products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the US so they're unlike any others on the market. They're made with natural botanicals, pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, pH correct, dermatologist tested, and formulated without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil. The products are revolutionary and result oriented. People love them and Arbonne is booming with over 111% growth every year since 2002 with 164% growth in 2005 over 2004. We more then surpassed that half way through 2006.

Arbonne is stable with over 27 years experience and a leader is the industry, debt free with a low start up cost of $29, no inventory, no sales requirements, no territory to limit growth, free online ordering and toll free ordering with direct shipping to consumers, free online training, committed leadership, Mercedes Benz car program, and the most generous compensation plan in the industry.

We build relationships, share premium proprietary products (either through group or one on one presenations), and offer an opportunity for others to not only look and feel great about themselves, but also to change their lives. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.
