*Note* This isn't a place for the bash Obama crowd.. all are welcome to answer but please keep it civil.

He came off as very Charismatic and well spoken in my opinion. He was fairly direct in answering his questions with surprising little side stepping for a politician, and he seems to know exactly what he stands for and where he stands on it... whereas I think many politicians lack in that area.

that was my take.. what was yours?

If things stay like they are.. it's going to be one heck of a tough vote for me in the primary.

I didn't see it. But Obama is EXTREMELY well-spoken and intelligent. His ideas are well-thought-out and he presents himself very well.

By the way, for those who agree with Garrett, below, take a look at this link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/07/images/20060706_d-0280-3-515h.html

Didn't see it.
I watch real news at night.
Larry King is not a serious interview.
It is troubling to me that Obama and Hillary both seem only to enter 'soft' venues.
King is a liberal lapdog who simply fawns all over his guests.
In this day and age, candidates need to get out into tough venues and answer hard questions to win my respect and my vote.
The country would be better off if all voters held politicians to that standard.
Unfortunately it now seems that winning elections for ones party is far more important than electing good leaders.
That thinking will destroy us all.

No, I missed it, but who ever the Democrats choose is the lesser of two evils, I will vote straight Democrat from now on even it is a hopeless gesture as an act of disgust for what the Bush administration has done to the U.S.A. and it's people.

He is refreshing, to be sure. And maybe, playing devil's advocate here, its easy to be refreshing when you haven't been tested. I like Obama...I think he would be a great unifier and represent the United States on the world's stage in an admirable way. But I would also like to see him in a position where he has to defend his choices and actions, as other politicians have to do. As it stands, he would have my vote...

I just asked this question, and no one answered, strange.
So, I'm going to answer your same question.
I was very impressed with him, the only thing holding me back from voting for him was I did not know his stand on illegal immigration. Living in a border state, this is a main concern of mine. I liked his answer. No amnesty. Illegals already here must pay a fine and get in the back of the line,
THEY MUST LEARN ENGLISH, and people who hire them will be severely punished. OBAMA 2008,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Obama is somewhat charismatic, and he is a polished and confident speaker. He would make a horrible President to me, because I disagree with his policy.

He seems like a genuine guy, but who knows. He is a high achiever, and he is intelligent. He is somewhat misguided in his politics, though.

Indyplu, you are a racist. Why don't you just call them all Uncle Toms?

Many ancient philosophers have pointed out to a man that fits Obama's description, as the man that will have all the answers to the worlds hate, wars and economic problems, and will be charismatic, articulate, attractive to women, and dark!
Nostradamus in quadrun 42 speaks of a man that will give people false hope, and lead us into worldwide wars and famines...and that he will come out of modern Rome.
The Qu'ran also speaks of such a man that will have answers to many of the worlds problems and will be listened to with great measures.
The Bible specifically talks about a man that will come onto the scene and brighten the eyes of the desolate, and offer solutions.
Even the Native American ancient philosophers and writers say there will be a man coming from the great power that will be a false prophet of the evil ones in charge.

I was impressed; I am with Obama all the way. I want to vote for a minority canidate and he is much better than sell-outs like Alan Keyes, Condi Rice, and Colin Powel.

I think we all know he's smooth, articulate and clean and well-spoken. . . . . .. .but what about the issues ?
Where does he stand on the #1 issue with voters. . . National Security ?
How about Immigration ?
And several other issues !!

If he does have 'solid' policies, he sure has not yet gotten his message across . I never bash the guy, he hasn't said ANYTHING yet in my opinion !!!
