$6.00 for part or so.
just follow the top radiator hose till it connects to the engine, at that points should be 2 bolts. undo them and you will see the thermostat right there, just put it in the same way you found it. like a flat golf ball size

About $12 for the new 190 thermostat, $0.90 for a new gasket (it may come with the part, check first) and about 5 minutes of your time. If you don't have coolant to top it off when finished, get some while you're there at the parts store. Get the pre-mix 50-50 type.

if you take it to a repair shop, most mechanics will charge you about 1 hour labor plus parts. (t'stat, gasket and antifreeze)this repair will cost you about $100.00. If you have any mechanic experience actual parts will run you about $20.00. In most cases the t'stat housing is held down by 2-3 bolts. pull the t'stat housing (normally attached to the upper rad hose) clean the gasket surfaces and replace the t'stat with new gasket

$6-$10 depending on 6 or 8 cylinders, what degree you want. try to buy one that stays open if defective, that way you will not overheat if something goes wrong
