I brought a dress similar to this one (site below) and I want to trim the bottom of the dress a little. I want to cut the dress just below my knees. I love this dress but the only thing is that it is not long enough..it falls right on my ankels and if I wear heels with it...it won't look as great so I figure I would cut it but I don't want to mess it up. I've tried looking around for the past week to find a white dress that falls just below the knee, but I had no luck. Does anyone know that best way to trim a dress like this. If possible, pictures will be great.

gorgeous dress!
Is it shorter on you than the model? If so, take it to a tailor. that is a lot of material to mess with, IMO. Would be worth it to have a professional handle it, unless you are a great seamstress to begin with.
Maybe something longer in the back and shorter in the front?

i would take it to a tailor and have them hem it to whatever length you want. that type of fabric is very tricky and unless you really know how to sew, you could mess it up. you could kind of pin it where you think you want it, and then have a tailor fix it.

they usually have tailors at bridal/formal wear shops, macys sometimes will do custom tailoring, nordstroms, dry cleaners.

If you're not sure what to do, just take it to the dry cleaners and have them cut & hem it. Beautiful dress & color.

You should have posted it in hobbies... Someone would definitely know what to do!

You have to hand stitch that mofo. Look up "blind hem stitch." It's easy if you have ever took Home Economics before.
