Not unless you are drawing your Social Security that you paid into. It is your own money to begin with.

Yes. You are entitled to disaster relief should your home or possessions be destroyed in an act of God. You get federal tuition reimbursement or financial assistance should you seek higher education. You get disability benefits should you become temporarily or permanently injured. Your food bill is lowered through federal farm subsidies and land grants. You have an interest deduction on your federal tax should you purchase a home. Should you start your own business you can receive funding through the Small Business Administration. You receive tax free investment gains should you put your money in a government approved account. Your children receive a free education which is much more valuable than what you pay in property tax. In many states you can apply for medical insurance subsidized by the state based on income. The list goes on and on. Stop worrying about what minorities are getting and worry about what you could be getting if you put your mind to it.

You might get a grant to go to college, not a full scholarship, but there are things available. If you are a decent working person scholar you can possibly get a grant to do certain studies, or you can get a grant to improve your town if you are on the board.
Grant money isn't limited to color or race or income.
If you are a decent working person who breaks a leg you cango bankrupt since we have no universal insurance in this country and fewer and fewer businesses offer health insurance., again no matter what your color is. Only when you are poor enough can you get welfare, that is no bank accounts and total assets under $1500 including a car. If this sounds like a good deal to you, you'd better rethink your claim to being decent.

I am a decent working person and a minority. I do not get any money from the government. The only minorities I think get money is Native American because white people took their land. If you are taking about financial aid and stuff like that, anybody can receive these benefits if you have low income. When I was in college, there were more white people getting financial aid, than the minorities. White people know how to work the system. I am sure big white corporations know how to get grants for their business. I have a girlfriend who works for the welfare office and she said there are more white people on welfare than blacks. The media want you to believe the lie that there are more blacks on welfare. THIS IS A BIG LIE! On TV they show black and other minority faces but in reality there are more white folks on welfare. Today it might be more Hispanics on welfare than any other group. It shouldn't be about black and white. If you are poor and need help, that what these programs are for. You should be thankful that you are not poor. Maybe you should help someone who is less fortunate than you instead of putting them down.

Most of the people in New Orleans were decent working persons, not considered minorities and the got the same thing the minorities got, lies and deceit. We get the same my friend. Nothing but lies and deceit from both liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans. It's the new world order where corporate Facsim has replaced the Republic our flag stood for, and we laughed at Ross Perot's ears while he told us it was happening. In God we trust, and right now God is about our only hope.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you are working, why would you need money from the gov.?!?!?

A decent working person, minority or not, shouldn't expect any money from the government.
Not that you said you did,...
I guess they could if they worked just as hard to go through the paperwork, and took time off to complete it.

If you really are a decent working person, regardless of racial heritage, you don't want any money from the government, knowing that the government DOESN'T HAVE ANY MONEY to give you that isn't taken from another DECENT WORKING PERSON.
Freedom isn't Free is an oft repeated slogan. Freedom isn't Easy should be another.

No. If you are a decent and working person why would you need to? And Minority or not, the same applies. There are ways, though.....grants, loans, for businesses or research.....

Its true that minorities DO get money for education, for living expenses for training, for housing and many other things but most of this is based on income levels. A middle class black family would not get anymore that you do, though would be eligible for certain things based on affirmative action. The daughter of a wealthy black doctor was able to get into medical school at our state university even though she had only average pre med grades because of affirmative action. Her family is wealthy beyond imagination That would be a benefit I guess that minorities get regardless of income as would any other quota based promotion systems. But you have a job and you should not be jealous of what others are able to get and just depend on yourself, god knows, all of those who get benefits are depending on your taxes too.
