My husband has loved the name "Hazard" ever since he heard it in the movie "Mrs. Winterbourne". Our 3rd baby is due in Sept and he thinks he wants to name it Bowen Hazard. And for a girl we kind of like Sumari. Our last name is Mantz. What do you think? I like the uniqueness of both names.

In reply to the comment that they sound like killers: I just looked up a list of serial killers and they all seem to have common names. For example, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffery Dahmer, Ted Bundy, etc. Interesting, huh? I think I will stick with unique.

Hazard is hot. I know a little girl who has the middle name Danger. Dont listen to people who say you shouldnt give unusal names... they are boring folks!
As for Sumari.. I am not crazy about it, but it reminds me of Suri.

I love unusual names but some you have to be careful with for the child's sake. Why don't you go with a more "normal" name on his birth certificate but nickname him Hazard. If you decide to go with it though Bowen Hazard sounds like some type of chemical hazard or health hazard. It doesn't sound like someone's name but rather a disaster. As far as Sumari is concerned I think that is a cool name. It would be really cool with an Italian or French last name though. Unfortunately you have no options there, huh? :)

Hazard as a middle name only! Otherwise he will be called the Duke of Hazared his whole life! Bowen is also a little stretch for some boys. If he comes out big and touch looking-- Go For IT. Sumari is adorabel and goes well with Mantz

Like other people have already said I like hazard but only for an middle name. I don't like Bowen because he will get called bow wow. On the other hand I love Sumari it is beautifully and it sounds nice with your last name!

I like the name Bowen Hazard it sounds like a tough name for a boy. Sumari is OK.

I'd only use Hazard if it were a boy. Maybe London/Landon Hazard Mantz? Sumari is a pretty name for a girl. Sumari Analiese! Good luck and congratulations.

I agree, Hazard should me only used as a middle name. First names should be of other family members with the same name.
