Can Bailiffs enter your home after telling you they are from the council and then take your stuff??
Surely this is illegal and misrepresentation to gain access to a house?
Please Help me if you know what the score is!!

no! lol .
The bailiff is an officer of the court, yes. But unless they are an actual police officer and they have a warrant to enter your home looking for a particular item then NOone can enter your home and take anything. I dont' care who they say they are. They need proper ID and a warrant.

a bailiff is an officer of the court and as far as I know his only authority is in the court room. If someone does not have a court order to show then they don't have the right to do anything in our house.
