When you take on the responsibility of watching a baby, that means to take care of the baby on every possible level needed. Changing the baby is part of that! Along with feeding, playing with, snuggling, and making sure the baby gets some nap time. There are many responsiblities to being responsible for a baby, if you aren't willing to change the baby, maybe next time you should rethink this situation before agreeing to it.

I'd change it as soon as it needed changing.
I was a nursery nurse, and I've changed thousands of nappies. There isn't anything that I've not seen before, and nappies honestly don't bother me at all. It doesn't gross me out or bother me in anyway, the only thing I don't like is when the babies get old enough to wriggle! You've got a fight on your hands then!
One thing I'm very proud of is that I changed my nephews first nappy. I'm going to remind him of that everytime I see him when he is grown up!

If you can't change a nappy, you're in the wrong line of work. Either learn or stop accepting babysitting jobs. There are lots of ways to earn extra cash.

I would change the nappy, after all you are caring for the baby in the parents' absence. Poor little thing can't change it itself. Imagine sitting in a dirty nappy yourself!

Change the baby. Anything else is irresponsible and neglectful. If you are the person looking after a baby, I know for sure that you wouldn't be qualified to watch my children. If you're a parent asking this about your daycare provider, you should find a new sitter.

If I was in charge and looking after the baby I would definitely change it as you don't want the baby getting nappy rash.. Put yourself in that situation would you not want to be clean and fresh...

CHANGE THE BABY! Someone actually did this to my son who I trusted. He actually put our son to bed with a dirty diaper. We came home and I went upstairs to check on him and smelled poopey, and when I pulled back the covers, it was strong. His diaper was filled, and I was so angry! I had to wake him up and put him in the bath because the smell would not go away and it had dried onto his skin. If you agree to watch a baby for someone, that includes all of the chores that go along with it... feeding, burping, changing diapers, etc. If you don't want to do any of that, then tell them no! I'd rather have had that guy tell me he didn't want to watch our son because he didn't want to do "diaper duty" than for him to feel obligated and not properly take care of my son. I would not have been angry. I was more angry b/c he ignore our son's needs. CHANGE THE BABY!

if you still want to baby sit then you should change the nappy, because i done this once and the baby had a nappy rash- the parents suggested it was my fault.

OK call me crazy but this sounds like someone ELSE was watching the baby and didn't change him/her.
You change the baby if you are watching the baby. And at the risk of sound about 8 yrs. old, let me also say...DUH!
