The Reds will be for real if they can solidify there pitching this yr. Every yr the Reds put together great offenses but manage poor pitching, but with Harrang and Arroyo with the potential of Homer Bailey in the mix this could be the yr that the Cincinnati Reds surprise a lot of teams in the N.L Central. So I think the Reds will be competitorrs but it's going to be tough in the revamped N.L Central

They certainly look aggressive! Harang has constantly been interior the genuine ten interior the national League so some distance as pitchers. Arroyo needs to get his administration back. Fogg had a superb trip final day out. Cueto and Volquez, at this factor, appear like applicants for some awards in the event that they save doing what they're doing, throwing warmth 27 ok's in 18 entire innings and in basic terms 2 walks!!! I regarded on the Reds pitching team and that i think 8 of 12 that have performed have an era of decrease than 3.00? no longer many communities can tournament that! Their hitting is coming around too. i certainly prefer Dusty might follow a series lineup instead of platooning at first Base, SS, OF and catcher! they have have been given good gamers that would desire to be obtainable on a daily basis to boot an afternoon of relax each 8 video games or so!! Patterson has been spectacular and that i assumed he became a mistake while they signed him. concern is , he's have been given the main homers on the team and he's our leadoff guy! it may be superb to be certain somebody step up and thieve some bases and make issues ensue on the basepaths. Freel has velocity yet he should not be a starter ont he Reds team and if he's they gained't pass to the submit-season, he's a fill-in at ultimate. the magnificent thing approximately it incredibly is we've Bruce and Bailey interior the minors waitinng to come again up if an harm happens or if somebody isn't pulling their weight! THe Reds bullpen is sweet, Lincoln, Coffey, Mercker have all stepped up! Cordero would be a league chief (genuine 5) in saves interior the national LEague. quite a number of key aspects make a super dish ! pass Reds!!!!

Oh, my friend, the Reds are real! If everyone stays healthy and the pitching comes through they will be awesome! The possible outfield of A rejuvenised Dunn, Griffey, and future rookie of the year: Hamilton could be awesome. They are solid up the middle with Phillips and Gonzales and I think Encarnacion will have a breakout year. Solid 1 and 2 starters including the underrated wins and strikeout leader from last year Harang. The bullpen looks solid and a closer will emerge. If Coffey can win the mental game, he could be a solid closer. Don't forget Homer Bailey who should be ready to come up after the all star break. Hey, it's spring, anything could happen! Play ball and be like Pete, bet on the Reds every night!

Spring training is all that it is. Most starters only play a few innings to keep them warm and then get pulled. The owners and managers don't want them to get injured in a meaningless game and be out for the year. This is a great time for the back-ups and rookies to try and "win" a spot on the team. But just because a team is doing great in the preseason doesn't mean they will be great in the regular season. It might be a sign of things to come but I wouldn't take too much stock in it.

Don't the Reds always have a good spring training, and then blow it during a really bad stretch in the middle of the season. I am still not sure about their pitching. They have a great offense, their only problem year after year is their horrible pitching. Hopefully they turn things around this year.
