I want to hire a TAXI in MANILA all day, to take me from Manila to Batangas, wait a few hours and then bring me back.

I have heard hiring a taxi all day will cost around P1500 or around $30.

Can this be done?

Well I think it can be done but try to contact the taxi company. Try MGE they like have brand new cars they use for their service, you can call them when you need to be picked up. It depends on what agreement you can make with them. The cab driver of that taxi company told me like they earn Php100.00 per hour...Don't really know how much the meter will be going to Batangas. If you like really into it you can call 1 taxi company and I can give you the phone...I just don't have it right now.

i hired a taxi for the day from manila (makati) to batangas and paid the driver 2200p that included everything fuel, tolls etc for 12 hours. just ask a few of the cabs on the street and do some negotiations

yes, this can be done. my dad's friend in the philippines has taxi and sometimes he does that when the taxi is available. be careful of picking taxi just around the corner 'coz they might take advantage of you. pick the kind of taxi that's not private but owned by company. you can see that from the sign on the taxi.

you might have to pay for the fuel and toll on top of the 1500. have a nice trip to Batangas.

Yes. It can be done, although avoid taxi drivers who are taking advantage of travellers/foreigners. They charge more than what the meter tells you. Better yet, before riding one, ask for a contract or bargain with the driver, say you give the driver P1,500 bucks for bringing you back and forth, no charged meter.

Also , try to hire a car or a van instead?

There are too many rent a car business in Manila.
It's so easy to find them and try to make a deal because some of the drivers will charge you a lot.

sure, this can be done. Try a Dollar Taxi; R&E Taxi or GME Taxi. The drivers are honest.
Have a nice trip! GOD BLESS.

Probably okay, but expect to pay up for gas as well, given the distance.
