Hmm...for a long time I never used downloading programs. I went to certain forums that posted random stuff, mostly asian music and I just get. Now I find mp3 rotation sites/music blogs to get my music. I love to discover new artists. I have limewire...I must say it does suck lol. But if I really want a certain song I can't find, I go there. What kind of music are you interested in? I have a slow comp as well.

i know this isnt exactly what you want to hear, but you cant find any programs that wont slow down your computer. any music program is going to take up room and majorly slow down your comp. but a good program is limewire. my boyfriend has an old computer too and he just downloaded limewire last night and it only took 25mins. any other program will take you about 2 hours. you can get limewire at www.limewire.com

there are a lot of different free music sites for your computer don't really download anything that will stay. Possible get on this site called www.mp3-center.org they have alot of music for anything that you are into. This will not slow down your computer becuase it is not a program.

I used to use LimeWire but it slowed down my computer alot! Now I use ARES and it's great! It's the best! I think you should download it! just google it!
