Well it depends on how she is making the jokes. I mean she's probably just joking around. I would probably tell her that she was hurting my feelings and I didn't like that she made fun of me for being a vegitarian. If she is a really good friend then she will stop joking around like that once she knows that it offends you...if not then I would look for friends that have the same tastes as I do. Good friends are hard to find. If you're really good friends with this person then I would try to work things out because that would be kind of silly to lose a really good friend over this...

You know a true good friend, is a person who will accept you and help you in all of your problems. Even if you are being teased by other people she will noy stand over there and watch and laugh. If you are rich maybe that girl just want your money. But you know that sometimes friends are really making jokes of each other but if they were told to stop they will really stop. Those are the real good friend. And I don't think she's a nice friend. If she teased you again go away and write her a letter and said not to tease you bec. a real friend is not like that. If she became angry with you then you must explain your feelings to her when she is teasing you. Don't talk to her until she learned her lesson. I don't want to break your friendship, this answer is just my advice.

Why don't you think it's funny? What are your reasons for being a vegetarian? It's not a laugh out loud joke, but I don't get why it would upset you. The best thing you can do it learn to laugh at yourself, otherwise people will start to think you are too serious and have no sense of humour.
She probably is your friend. Have you tried explaining to her why you don't like her joke like this? Perhaps she doesn't really understand why you don't like it.

Yes she probably is a really good friend, its just you getting wound up by her sense of humour!! Chill mate, she is only jesting and lifes too short to be too serious all the time!! Just laugh it off and eventually she will run outta silly comments!! The more you let her know it annoys the longer she will continue to do it!! Find something to wind her up about and you wont feel half as bad!!

They sound very immature. You should just ignore the comments. The more they bother you the more the comments will keep coming. If it continues then yes this person is a bad friend and doesn't respect your wishes and opinions of life.
I would decide if you need that in your life.

I think she's just trying to be playful, but if it really annoys you, you should talk to her again and tell her to please stop. If she persists, just ignore her and change the subject. She may be getting a kick out of seeing you get worked up/annoyed.
Maybe you can explain why you became a vegetarian so she can understand where you're coming from?

You can't just determine whether someone is a good friend by that. She could have really thought you wouldn't mind. Tell her you do not like that and she'll stop. If she doesn't, then you can say she's not a good friend.

That is just a bit of banter. Last night my boyfriend told me I have sticky out ears in front of everyone, I returned the compliment by saying he has more chins than a chinese phone book. All in good humour!
Just tell her you'll shove it up her nose if she doesnt shut up.
