The loud mouths usually sit behind me, the chatterbox next to me, the guffaw guy in front, and the obnoxious eater a couple rows back. That's why I stopped going to theaters and wait until it comes out on video.

The loud guffaw guy isn't so bad and can actually be funny. The obnoxious eater is bad yes but is easiest to tune out, imho. The chatterbox is the worst!

its just like the "why does the smoke flow toward the non-smoker" question. Irony! and I'm voting the loud guffaw guy as the most annoying. At least the chatter box and eater are consistent with their noise. The guffaw guy will loudly laugh an inappropriate times when only he thinks its funny and not care that hes making a jackass of himself. Also when he laughs at the parts that are truly funny, his laugh is so obnoxious it almost ruins the humor for everyone else.

in order of annoyance:
1. Obxoxious eater. I cant stand hearing someone chewing/talking with mouth full, etc
2. The Chatterbox. If you're gonna talk through a movie wait to rent it!
3. Loud guffaw guy. No cure, poor bas**rd!

Well, at least the are sitting next to you instead of me.
I think the chatterbox is the worst. The problem is my daughter is a chatterbox. She's at that age where she wants to ask what is going to happen next...and we always tell her to "just watch the movie".

They sit around me too, dear. The worst one would have to be the chatterbox. It's just annoying to hear "pss, pss, pss" all through a movie. I've told many a chatterboxes that if they wanted to talk they shouldn't have wasted $15 dollars to do it in a movie theater.

so know what you mean but i really don't know why they sit next to you
BUT i so hate it when the movie is starting and everyone is opening wrappers and crap and you can hear them eating (so my answer is the obnoxious eater)
But why take all that food into the movies is what i don't get - i see people so kitted up with lollies, popcorn, icecream, drinks, chocolate - you think that they thought the the 1 hr and a half movie was actually going to last for a day and a bit.

OBNOXIOUS EATER! Why on earth do they serve popcorn at a movie theater? It's loud, messy, and OBNOXIOUS! Amen sister. Great question. Also, how about the gum popper. I HATE that.
