Depends on what you mean by that. Most transsexuals before realizing what they are, or even if they know but are unable to express it crossdress not for erotic reasons but to feel more comfortable with how they are. Wearing clothing not typically allowed to your biological sex would allow them to feel more intact with their inner gender identity and allow them to feel much better, hence why most transsexuals have a crossdressing background.
I am not sure what else you could mean, possibly after the op? If so, then they might crossdress as their birth sex once in a while just to see how much they no longer fit that role, or for the same reasons that regular people wear the opposite gender's clothing. If you have any more questions or anything feel free to e-mail me and I will to to explain it clearer.

Not technically. The term transsexual means that the person has had a sex change. So someone who was a man is now a woman so wearing women's clothing is their gender. I think you might be confusing it with transvestite which is simply someone who wears the clothes of the opposite sex.
Hope this helps...most people don't realize the difference in the terms. And no i am not either one I am very happy as a man

Yes you can be a guy that changes into a girl and then dresses like a boy sometimes, but if you wanted the sex change why would a trans want to dress as they did befor the change?

I am a MtoF Pre-op transsexual and I do not concider myself a cross-dresser. I concider myself a woman who dresses as a woman. We do start out as crossdressers, though.

Only during the period before transition when we're forced to by parental up-bringing and societal expectations. After transition we dress as the gender we truly are, having found the strength to live true to our selves.
