With a Nobel prize, you also get a large sum of money. With an Oscar, you get higher offers for your next jobs.

I think it would be better to win a Nobel prize. It means you've done something really terrific for humanity. Doesn't that sound like a wonderful thing to accomplish?

That's a good question ! People who have won a Nobel prize are those that have come up with an invention or a concept that has had far reaching effects in changing people's lives, often, perhaps not always, in a positive way. The Oscar, on the other hand, is awarded to people who have done a great job in entertaining people, again not always to the best candidates. However, good science and good entertainment, I believe, are both equally important to our lives.

I would have to go for an Oscar. Why ? Well,,just about every Nobel Prize winner has complained that the fame and prestige of winning this prestigious award resulted in media attention that has hindered their work from that point on. While, on the other hand, the winners of Oscars had enjoyed media attention that has promoted their future projects.
