no surname just think he was peter who played the pipes and he rhymed with pickled pepper nothing else ..did we have pickled peppers in those days think not ....pickled everything else though even peter lol

i agree with Peter although i cant decide whether piper was his last name or whether he was a piper, good tongue twister though!
