If you are a US citizen, and your wife is a foreign national, you are eligible to file a petition on behalf of your wife to immigrate to the US. The immediate relative petition (I-130) must be filed with the USCIS office responsible for your place of residence in the US. Once the I-130 has been approved, the Department of State National Visa Center will forward the approved petition directly to the Consular Section at the US Embassy, Cairo. The Consular Section will then send you a letter that lists the documents required for the visa interview. When a complete set of these documents has been submitted to the embassy, they will schedule the interview and notify you of the date in a letter. See the following website for further information:

Depending on where you are from, you will have to apply for a visa or green card for your wife and eventually she can apply for citizenship. US citizenship was, at one time, automatic upon marriage to a citizen. Things have changed and the process, mostly paperwork, takes a bit longer and is more tedious today.
A visit to the State Department will help you get the information you need.

what we have here is a failure to communicate....
this has got to be a joke...what can i do to my wife to get her to go back to the Philippines? gee ..i don't know..i already packed her suitcases twice and drove her to the airport..but she just keeps coming back to my house...???whats the deal?
