It is hard to like someone if they are a stranger, but I often tell myself "what a cute kid" or "what a well behaved child" when I am out and I see a stranger's child and it gets me thinking about when are my husband and I going to start a family. But on the other hand if I see a brat or a kid throwing a tantrum I just think "thank goodness I don't have kids yet" .

Actually its kind of funny you ask that as I was just reading an article in a homeschooling mag that had this survey to the affect of could or would you homeschooling and way more then half of Americans said "no way, I couldn't spend that
much time with my kids". I mean I know there are days when my kid is really hard to like BUT I still LIKE him, to me there is a difference between loving your kids and liking them, and wanting to spend time with them.....Could this be part of the
reason why so many kids are "straying" hhhmmmm. I think
honestly there are alot of people who don't like, and even more people who don't respect kids.
Me, I both love and really like my son, and in general I like
most other kids as well, I mean Oh Wow, some are pieces of work, but to me underneath they are all kids!! and kids will be kids decade after decade.
Wow that was drawn out for a YES! I like most kids. LOL

I only like my own children. I don't like other people's kids unless they are a close friend's children, or they are very well behaved. Most strangers' kids seem awful - I'm sure they feel the same way about mine, too, but no, I don't like 'em!

Not really, no. Only when a particularly bright one is coming up with some really inventive, amusing (and usually wrong) reasons why something should be just so...
The rest of the time they're horrible, smelly, loud, selfish, and generally disagreeable. Why?

I hate kids. My own I adore, obviously, but I don't like anyone elses kids in the house. I try and make sure my daughter plays at other kids houses because I can't tolerate her friends. I haven't the time of day for them and I think they find me a bit scary because I don't talk to them much and I shout a lot when they're in my house.

Yes, I like to put them in the oven @ 350 with lots of carrots and potatoes. Children should always be served with a nice Merlot.

If they are extremely well behaved, then somewhat. I'm really not a kid person, I've never enjoyed being in the company of kids and being an only child, I've managed to avoid having to for a long, long time. I'm 29 and I've never even babysat a kid - ever.

I adore children. I used to be a preschool teacher. My kids called me Teacher Creature! I am now a nanny. These two little doll babies who have graced my life fill me with so much love...it actually has improved my health. Nothing is stronger than love.

I work with them! They make me laugh and I can
be a kid too when I'm with them.
I find I do look at other childrens behaviour when I'm
out. And sometimes its awful. Not the children but the
behaviour.

I used to love children before I got married and had my own...I used to babysit and take them to the movies and fun places...but now that I have my own kids, I'm not fond of other people's children...I guess it's a mother instinct thing.
